The chessmen are made from the highest grade black ebony and clean grained boxwood. The value of ebony continues to rise as it becomes more and more scarce, making this set an excellent investment opportunity. They have been expertly finished and polished to a natural shine. No lacquer is used to create this superb finish, it’s the meticulous hand polishing of the dense hard woods that have created such an immaculate finish, something you won’t find in entry level sets.These stunning chessmen represent the finest quality available and will sit beautifully upon the 20 inch Manopoulos Walnut chess board.

Renowned for their expertise in marquetry and backgammon sets, the board is produced by the reputable family Manopoulous, based in Greece.
