Exquisitely turned and crafted, the 3.5 inch Stallion Knight Chess Pieces still represent superb value for money. The quality of the carving, attention to detail and the finish on these solid wooden chessmen is way beyond what you expect from such a modestly priced set.
Each chess piece has been expertly turned from solid boxwood and painstakingly handcrafted to create the traditional Staunton design. A very convincing ebonisation process gives them the look of real ebony, and each piece is perfectly weighted and felted on the base.
Because of the 3.5 inch king height, we have matched The Stallion Knight Chess Men with a stunning 17.75 inch walnut and maple chess board created by the famous board makers, Rechapados Ferrer of Spain. Modern fabrication techniques ensure the finished product has clean lines and critical details. The walnut grain is just beautiful and teamed with the maple, makes an excellent battlefield.

To complement the set, we have added a beautiful wenge coloured wooden chess piece case. Manopoulos of Greece have created this beautifully box and lined it with a high quality black flocking, offering perfect protection for your chess men when not in use.

Please note that when the chessmen are placed in the box it is normal and intentional for them to lay down on top of each other. They are NOT intended to stand up inside the box.

The chess board in this set has been expertly crafted by Rechapados Ferrer in Spain using precision laser cutting techniques and stunning wooden veneers combined with expert lacquering and finishing. The underside of the board is finished in a satin veneer that is a different colour from the playing surface of the board. The veneers used for the underside may vary in colour from batch to batch.
