Each chess piece has been expertly turned from solid boxwood. The black pieces have been ‘ebonised’ – a very convincing process that gives them the look of real ebony. Each piece is weighted and felted on the base. A 3.25 inch king height makes them ideal for chess boards from 16 inches (40 cm).
