Another version of the Classic Staunton Chess Pieces, this time crafted from solid rosewood. This version still offers excellent quality and superb value for money and unlike most sets in this price bracket, this set comes with 2 additional queens for promotion. The quality of wood, finish and attention to detail on these chessmen is way beyond what you expect from such a modestly priced set and the colour and grain of rosewood varies naturally so no two sets will look the same.
Each chess piece has been expertly turned and then weighted and felted with green billiard cloth on the base. The 3.5 inch king height makes them ideal for chess boards from 20 inches (50 cm).
