These Classic Staunton Chess Pieces offer excellent quality and represent superb value for money. The quality of finish and attention to detail on these solid wooden chessmen is far beyond what you expect from such a modestly priced set.
Each chess piece has been expertly turned from solid boxwood with the black pieces undergoing ’ebonisation’ – a very convincing process that gives them the look of real ebony. Each piece is then weighted and felted on the base. The 3.5 inch king height makes them ideal for chess boards from 20 inches (50 cm).
