It’s difficult not to be impressed by this extra large chess board produced by master chess board maker Rechapados Ferrer of Spain. High grade walnut and maple veneered construction is used throughout, including the base. Modern fabrication techniques are employed to provide a truly impressive chess board with clean lines and critical detailing. The walnut used has stunning colouring with dense grain, abundant in dark rich tones. This large board is perfect for accompanying chess pieces with 4 inch (102 mm) king heights.

This chess board has been expertly crafted by Rechapados Ferrer in Spain using precision laser cutting techniques and stunning wooden veneers combined with expert lacquering and finishing. The underside of the board is finished in a satin veneer that is a different colour from the playing surface of the board. The veneers used for the underside may vary in colour from batch to batch.
